THE PROGRAMME

Knowledge you can put to work.

This focused training prepares radiation workers for Category B licensing requirements of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE), Kingdom of Bahrain. It covers essential radiation-protection theory for workers using X-ray security screening equipment, fixed nuclear gauges, and dental X-ray devices. The training prepares participants for the SCE licensing examination and does not issue the license.

This is preparation for the Supreme Council for Environment licensing process. Jadarah provides training and a Record of Attendance; licensing is handled by SCE.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

What you’ll take forward.

  • Explain basic nuclear physics, radiation detection, measurement, biology, and health effects
  • Apply ALARA, time, distance, and shielding principles to reduce dose
  • Recognize exposure pathways, categories, dose limits, and situations
  • Follow basic transportation and storage practices for radioactive materials
  • Apply emergency-response principles and understand regulatory and SCE licensing requirements

WHO IT’S FOR

Is this your next step?

  • Radiation workers using X-ray security screening equipment, fixed nuclear gauges, and dental X-ray devices who are preparing for Category B licensing
THE PRACTICAL DETAILS

Delivery

In-class attendance, face-to-face

Assessment

Written examination administered by the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE): pass at 80% and above; refer at 70%-79% after one re-training attempt; fail below 70% with additional training before re-sitting. Jadarah issues a Record of Attendance upon completion of the training. This assessment supports licensing preparation; the license is issued through the SCE process, not by Jadarah.
